Job Description:

Our Field Applications team is responsible for driving and supporting key design wins for Point2’s leading edge, network SoCs deployed in data centers, 5G, Edge, Cloud Networks, and more. As a Senior Engineer within the Field Applications team, you will be instrumental in driving commercial success and introducing cutting-edge semiconductor technology to the market. You will work with our world class engineering, sales, and marketing teams to close on opportunities for our products at all the top customers in the data center and 5G markets worldwide.

Job Duties:

We are looking for a customer-facing, passionate, experienced, and hands-on engineer to work directly with customers to solve technical issues and help close on commercial opportunities.
The ideal candidate will take a multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach to problem solving anddrive robust solutions using our industry leading SoCs.

Point2 offices are physically located in the heart of Silicon Valley, California but remote work is possible for self-directed and motivated individuals. There will be travel required to customer sites, industry trade shows, and conferences.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating closely with the sales team to secure key designs with Point2 Technology’s Solutions, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Assisting the Sales team by meticulously preparing and delivering technical presentations and statements of work, effectively aligning specific client business requirements with optimal technical solutions.
  • Taking an active role in hands-on board bring-up and debugging activities for customer projects, ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Providing comprehensive support to customers for the implementation of our APIs, Firmware, and intricate device configurations.
  • Assisting in customer lab and field trials, proof of concepts, and engineering studies, contributing to their successful execution.
  • Proactively monitoring and addressing customer technical issues, employing remote and on-site troubleshooting techniques to swiftly resolve any challenges that may arise.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the customer’s application environment, enabling you to provide insightful advice and guidance tailored to their specific needs.
  • Providing market intelligence directly from the field back to the team to influence new product ideation and Point2 product market position.
  • Building deep engineering relationships with customer technical teams.

 

Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant (5+ years) experience in applications engineering, board development, or system level design and architecture, firmware development
  • Experience with testing ethernet based transceiver modules for data center and wireless network infrastructure markets.
  • Knowledge of a programming languages and scripting: C, C++, Python
  • In depth knowledge of all the aspects of electrical, mechanical, software, operational and testing of SFP/QSFP/QSFP-DD/OSFP Optical and Electrical Transceivers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate efficiently (written and verbal) in a multicultural environment.

Digital IC Design Engineer

Role
  • Seeking an experienced digital IC design engineer who will work closely with analog designers and system designers to develop an innovative CDR and RF solutions.
  • Responsible for define and develop digital architecture, simulations, silicon tape-out and bring-up in a module/system environment.
  • Responsible for full RTL to GDS implementation flow.
Requirements
  • BS with 4+ years or MS with 2+ year of experience in digital IC design.
  • RTL design implementation of high-speed, low power digital blocks using Verilog.
  • Familiar with low power, high speed design with multiple clock domains.
  • Familiar with synthesis, floorplanning, PnR constraints like sdc.
  • Familiar with chip-level simulation including analog models in AMS environment.

Director of Global Sales and Business Development

ROLE
  • Direct and develop opportunities to create demand and traction with Tier one mobile operators and Data Centers and their suppliers such as Network Equipment Manufacturers (NEMs) and optical Module and Cable manufacturers servicing data center and 5G market.
  • Develop account plan and align routine activities towards intercepting next generation network upgrade opportunities
  • Lead all aspects of building and cultivating continuous relationships at key accounts together with the virtual multi-function account team
  • Assess competitive threats and position Point2 products to win, while repositioning against competitor products.
  • Work closely, effectively, and efficiently within cross functional team such as marketing, Applications, Operations, and engineering to facilitate sales, including account plans, messaging, and presentations.
  • Identify and facilitate support, demos, PoCs, training, etc., to maximize traction and secure deals
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
  • 10+ years of successful technical sales and/or Applications/ BD experience in the optical/ RAN Networking and Cloud interconnect SoCs and module.
  • 2+ years’ experience in creating demand Telco operators and Cloud Operators in the U.S. and internationally preferably with proven ability to secure deals.
  • Ability to drive ecosystem partnerships with other suppliers to provide complete reference designs and system solutions
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills in English and Mandarin with experience in marketing western companies
  • Extensive customer interface
  • Self-motivated, requiring little supervision
  • BSEE or Computer science or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
